Nestled on a rocky peak, encapsulating the Provence lavender and « garrigue » essences, the authentic village can be reached from the spectacular roads of the
foothills of Tricastin. From the top of its tower, clinging to the rock, the Virgin Mary overlooks the village and its church. The chapel of Toronne rises proudly from the top of another rocky peak dominating the area of Drôme South Provence on
one side and the village on the other. Clansayes is known to geologists around the world due to the many fossils found in the area. As you stroll through the village, be surprised and impressed by the castle dungeon overlooking the
valley for it is unique in the world.

Monuments :
Erected in the 12th century, most of the town’s monuments can still be seen
today : the church, the tower and the dungeon, the room with three niches,
the « Jumelles du Rozet ».
