Born from the encounter of Provence with the mountains, the Baronnies provençales offer a territory to which all nature lovers are sensitive. We come here for the quality of life: attracted by the south, the heat, the olive trees, the cicadas and the lavender!
Between the southern pre-alps and Mont Ventoux, the Baronnies are located east of the Drôme Provençale and include the communes of Nyons, Rémuzat, Montbrun-les-Bains and Buis-les-Baronnies.

Nyons in the Baronnies provençales

Nyons, gate of the Baronnies, is in the heart of the Provençal Drôme. This pretty little town is famous for its climate Mediterranean, its great and its famous olives, where if you look closely you are surrounded by olive trees !

Landscapes, vegetation, light, sunshine and a rich urban heritage, make Nyons a city where it is good to live ! It is nicknamed the “Little Nice” 😉

Remuzat in the Provençal Baronnies

Barely 30 km from Nyons, following the gorges of the Eygues the great cliff of the Cairo: look up, they are there… The Vultures of Rémuzat !

Take advantage of the pretty panorama on the gorges of the Eygues and the Oule Valley. Two streams where you can cool off. And for those who like to walk, there are several hikes of different level from Rémuzat.

Buis-les-Baronnies in the Provençal Baronnies

Further south, towards Mont Ventoux, the village of Buis-les-Baronnies. You will not be insensitive to the scents of lavender, thyme, lime tree, and rosemary: discover plants in their environment and uses. Since the beginning, the have held an essential place in the economic landscape of the territory.

Buis-les-Baronnies, a fortified village with colourful facades, is not only the capital of the lime tree but also that of sport: vertiginous walls of the  Saint-Julien Rock suitable for climbing, one of the longest via ferrata from Europe, parapente, and roads suitable for cycle tourism.

Montbrun-les-Bains in the Baronnies of Provence

All close to Mont Ventoux, the charming medieval village of Montbrun-les-Bains. It’s a perched village to walk through! It will be necessary to “climb” a little to discover its many fountains and paved alleys. Montbrun-les-Bains is labelled “Pus Beaux Villages de France” and we understand why by visiting it !

At the bottom of the village, come and visit us relax at the Montbrun-les-Bains thermal baths, thanks to the benefits of an ancient spring with sulphur water. From the terrace you have an ideal view of the village and the “Giant of Provence”.

Regional Natural Park of the Provençal Baronnies has many assets for all those who enjoy travelling far from the hustle and bustle of big cities. It is a preserved territory with undulating landscapes that seduces for its authentic heritage, its natural sports, and its benefits.
